HOUSTON BUSINESS JOURNAL: Houston banks exposed to $323M in small business loans outside the stimulus, SBA guarantees

As small businesses nationwide struggle to pay the bills during the COVID-19-inflicted shutdowns, Houston-area lenders are exposed to hundreds of millions of dollars in small business loans not guaranteed by the federal government. Dan Bass, managing director at Performance Trust Capital Partners, told the HBJ that while many small businesses could be at risk of defaulting on their loans, lenders typically have ways to recoup the losses.
